How to dial it in
  1. Start from the chip row above — it’s the middle of the known-good window for the class.
  2. Hit copy as test-grid range and run a 5×5 on the exact scrap you’ll sell.
  3. Circle the sweet-spot cell; that’s your number for this lens, this batch, today.
  4. Log it. Focus drift and a dirty lens are why yesterday’s settings stop working.
The refusal list

PVC/vinyl/chlorinated → chlorine gas (→ hydrochloric acid): health + optics hazard. Polycarbonate/ABS → fire + toxic fumes.

Select any of them above and the tool shows a hazard card instead of a number — there is no safe setting for chlorinated material.
