How do you engrave tumblers and curved surfaces?

Mount a roller or chuck rotary, disable the axis it replaces in software, set the piece level, and focus on the top of the curve. Wrap dimensions come from the cylinder diameter — measure with calipers, not the listing.

Powder-coated tumblers are the friendly starting product: the laser removes coating to bare steel, so contrast is built in and power windows are wide. Glassware and taper-walled cups come later, on a chuck.
